It was an honor to be the featured artist for the March Heavy Jeens project! I was inspired by all the gardening I see happening in Manette and across our city. The Heavy Jeens project is a fine art poster scavenger hunt that happens every First Friday Art Walk in Downtown Bremerton. Each poster is printed on a vintage letterpress machine - by hand! Find more information at www.heavyjeens.comSo a fun fact about me- I have a Little Free Library in my front yard. It is so fun and a great way to meet neighbors and build community. 🍁
Come check out the First Friday Art Walk in Downtown Bremerton. This piece will be at the Fingers Duke Group art show with the theme anatomical heart - there are lots of wonderful artists in the show.I am excited to start 2019 off with an artist print exchange! The "Unexpected" print exchange is taking place between a group of 20 artists. It is fun to share art and even more fun to see what everyone else makes with the same prompt! https://rainboeliza.blogspot.com/
The end of 2018 marks my completion of four years of volunteer service as an Arts Commissioner for the City of Bremerton. It has been an honor to work with other artists, arts professionals, and the city to collaborate on public art projects. Thank you to former Mayor Patti Lent for your appointment to the commission and to our current Major Greg Wheeler for your support of the arts, they play a vital role in creating thriving communities. I look forward to continuing to volunteer in our arts community and see all the wonderful arts projects that are in the works take shape over the next few years.
